The study investigates the availability of digital leadership in Palestinian universities and its relationship to an outstanding performance. The descriptive-analytical method has been adopted as the research methodology. The main study tool is a validated and reliable questionnaire. The study sample consisted of (298) individuals in administrative positions at the Islamic University, Al-Aqsa University, Al-Azhar University, and Palestine University. They were selected through stratified random sampling. The estimation level of administrative position holders for excellent performance and digital leadership in Palestinian universities is medium. The overall score for the excellent performance and digital leadership variables are (67.37%) and (64.6%), respectively. The dimensions of quick response and opportunities utilization ranked first with a high estimation score of (68.16%). The planning and processes management ranked second with an estimation score of (67.55%). Quality and performance measurement standards came last with an estimation score of (66.22%). Furthermore, it was found a statistically significant correlation (with a coefficient of 0.783) between the appreciation degree of the administrative position’s holders for digital leadership and their appreciation for the outstanding performance level in Palestinian universities. In light of these results, the researcher recommends associated recommendations. It is highly recommended to provide the basic requirements of digital leadership and adopt smart and digital systems in Palestinian universities, as they save time and efforts. In addition, it is necessary to formulate transparent and encouraging policies to promote digital learning. Finally, it’s a focal point to coordinate with pioneered institutions of digitization to train staff on digital technologies. (Published abstract)
