الضغوط النفسية التي تواجه الطلبة الفلسطينيين نتيجة العدوان الإسرائيلي
The study investigated the psychological pressures experienced by Palestinian students due to ongoing Israeli aggression and their effect on the educational process. It also examined the strategies employed to alleviate these pressures and the role of educational counselors in supporting students. Using a qualitative methodology, the study analyzed literature, previous research, and conducted interviews with 15 purposively selected school counselors from a total population of 1,255 counselors in northern Palestinian governorates. Results showed that students face significant psychological challenges such as fear, trauma, instability, and loss of motivation amid continuous attacks. To help students cope, strategies like psychological debriefing, individual counseling, and group support programs are used. These pressures negatively impact students’ academic achievement, reduce their motivation, and decrease their sense of safety and stability within schools. The study highlighted the importance of developing programs that strengthen cooperation between schools and local communities. It recommended establishing a clear strategic vision, promoting a healthy school environment, and ensuring availability of financial, material, and human resources. These resources would support psychological counseling services, training workshops, and promote social and economic solidarity among Palestinians, aiming to improve students’ mental well-being and educational outcomes.
