مبادرة خيط أمل : دراسة تأثير المبادرات الفنية والإرشادية في التخفيف من آثار الأزمات النفسية على الأطفال في غزة
This study aims to explore the impact of artistic activities in alleviating the psychological effects of crises on children in Gaza, through the "Thread of Hope" initiative that uses art as a tool for expressing repressed emotions. The study targeted students from Ziad Abu Ein School , specifically middle and high school students, and adopted a descriptive analytical approach. Data were collected using pre- and post-initiative questionnaires, as well as observations and interviews with teachers and social counselors to evaluate the effectiveness of the activities. The results showed significant improvement in the students' mental health, with reduced levels of anxiety and depression. Additionally, there was an increase in awareness of Palestinian children's rights and struggles. The initiative also enhanced collaboration between the students and the local community, and improved their artistic expression and psychological relief. Based on these findings, the study recommends supporting artistic initiatives in Gaza schools to mitigate the psychological impact of crises, encouraging community involvement in these activities, and continuing to organize workshops that provide children with an opportunity to express their feelings. Furthermore, it suggests providing financial and educational support to ensure the sustainability of similar initiatives in the future. (Published abstract)
