أسباب تأخر سن الزواج لدى الشباب من وجهة نظر طلاب جامعة القصيم
This study aims at identifying the causes that lead to delayed age of marriage among young people from the point of view of Qassim University students, and to identify the degree of difference in perception of students in light the following variables: age, family income, and number of family members, as well as to identify the most important problems arising from the growing problem of delayed age of marriage among young people and solutions that can contribute to the reduction. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher uses self-designed questionnaire consisting of (22) items. Participants are (255) students. The findings reveal that the degree of delayed age of marriage among young people was high (2.398) in regard to the whole measurement scale. Results also show that there are statistically significant variations according to age for those who have (24 years and older) on the psychological dimension compared with youngest; differences are also found related to family income for those who have higher income on the social dimension compared to those of lesser income. The study shows that there is no variation in relation to number of family members variable. Also, the study revealed some of the problems arising from the delayed age of marriage, as well as a number of solutions that contribute to the reduction of the problem. Several recommendations were formulated in the light of findings. (Published abstract)
