The study aimed to form an adaptive test using multi-stage partial strategy according to the response theory, where the adaptive test was adapted to Lempel, which consisted of (132) items in its final form. The first stage of the test includes a mini test image (easy, difficult), the second stage includes (2) mini test images (easy, difficult) and the third test stage includes (3) mini test images (easy, medium, difficult). The study sample consisted of a statistical analysis sample of (1000) preparatory school students from, and the grading sample consisted of (200) male and female students. The most important results of the study showed the effectiveness of the adaptive test using the multi-stage partial strategy according to the item response theory in estimating mathematical ability.
