The research aimed to develop the story-writing skills of fifth-grade primary school students, the skills necessary for them when writing stories. The problem of the research was that there was a weakness among fifth-grade primary school students in story-writing skills. The research was based on preparing a list of appropriate story-writing skills for fifth-grade students. Primary school and story writing skills test to measure those skills and prepare the student book and teacher’s guide. The research sample consisted of (60) male and female students who were divided into two groups, one of which was experimental, numbering (30) male and female students, and the other a control group, numbering (30) male and female students. The story writing skills test was applied to the students of both groups, and then the students of the experimental group studied using a model. Hands and Minds The students of the control group studied in the usual way and the same test was applied post-hoc to the two groups. The results resulted in statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) between the average performance of the experimental and control groups in the post-measurement of the story writing skills test in favor of the experimental group. One of the most prominent findings of the research was the results of the effectiveness of the Hands and Minds model in developing story writing skills among students. The research sample.
