The research aims to reveal how to manage and finance research chairs in Egyptian universities in the light of the experiences of some American and Canadian universities. By using the comparative approach with its dimensions (descriptive dimension to study research chairs. The analytical dimension to demonstrate the current status of management and financing of research chairs in comparison universities and the interpretative comparative dimension of the analysis and identification of similarities and differences in the management and financing of research chairs in comparative universities, The predictive dimension of a proposed conception of how to manage and finance research chairs in Egyptian universities in the light of comparative universities experiences). The research has reached to number of results, represented in the Egyptian universities scientific research system suffers from some weaknesses points which negatively affect and hinder the Egyptian University from carrying out its basic functions such teaching, scientific research and serving its community, emphasizing the importance of activating research chairs in Egyptian university institutions which has become an imperative for the development of scientific research and innovation system as research chairs is considered one of the most important modern mechanisms in higher education institutions in developed countries; which through it Egyptian universities can achieve Egypt's Vision 2030 and its sustainable development strategy. Also, one of the most important results of the study is providing requirements which are necessary for management and financing of research chairs with efficient and professional to ensure their sustainability and success.
