The aim of the research is to identify the level of problem-solving skills among Zagazig University students, in addition to identifying the different level of problem-solving skills according to gender (males, females), and the type of study (practical- theoretical). To achieve these two goals, the research was applied on a sample consisting of (430) students from Zagazig University (187 males - 243 females), including (190) from practical colleges, and (240) from theoretical colleges, after applying the problem-solving skills scale, and using statistical methods through the (SPSS) program such as the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, independent samples (T) test for two independent samples, the most important results revealed that the level of the sample responses degrees among (from university students) on the problem-solving skills scale ( in all dimensions and total score) were (average), and there were no statistically significant differences between males and females in problem-solving skills, except the dimension (general orientation) as there was statistically significant difference on it in favor of males, as well as there were no statistically significant differences in problem-solving skills due to the type of study (practical- theoretical), except the dimension (general orientation) as there was statistically significant difference on it in favor of practical specializations.
