This study aims to define “cognitive behavior”, explain its role in generating knowledge within organizations, and understand the reasons for the occurrence of the knowledge gap, and its relationship to cognitive behavior. The study also aims to address the most prominent organizational strategies and their role in supporting the cognitive behavior of individuals towards generating knowledge, which is represented by: culture. Organizational, organizational memory, and collective learning methods. The study used two main research methods: the documentary method and the content analysis method. This study resulted in a number of results, the most prominent of which are: Cognitive behavior has a crucial role in stimulating the generation of knowledge within organizations and filling knowledge gaps. Organizational culture, organizational memory, and collective learning are also strategies that play an important role in enhancing social interaction between employees. In organizations, stimulating the acquisition and exchange of tacit and explicit knowledge, and converting it into new knowledge. The study recommended continuing research efforts on the impact of the organization’s strategies and its components on cognitive behavior on the one hand, as well as the impact of cognitive behavior on knowledge management according to its various processes on the other hand.
