فعالية برنامج إرشادي قائم على النظرية الواقعية في تحسين الوعي بالذات والطمأنينة النفسية لدى الطلبة الأيتام الموهوبين
The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of counseling program based on realistic theory in improving self-awareness and psychological reassurance among gifted orphan students in the middle school, using the quasi-experimental approach on a sample consisting of 19 artistically gifted orphans at the Royal Humanitarian Foundation and Al Sanabel Society for Orphan Care in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The sample was divided into the Experimental Group, its number was 10 artistically gifted orphans, and the Control Group, its number was 9 artistically gifted orphans, where the two groups underwent the pre- and post-test. The research included two hypotheses. The research tools consisted of a self-awareness scale, a psychological reassurance scale, and a counseling program, after verifying their psychometric properties. The results of the study on the self-awareness scale showed that there were statistically significant differences among members of the experimental group in the two dimensions of developing self-reflection and proactiveness and the total score of the scale. As for the psychological reassurance scale, the results showed that there were statistically significant differences among members of the experimental group in the autonomy dimension, the environmental mastery dimension, the purpose in life dimension, and the total score, which indicates the effectiveness of the counseling program partially.
