The study purpose was to build an educational unit based on media education and measure its effectiveness in developing media concepts and media awareness, in addition to measuring the correlation and predictive regression between the two dependent variables. The study population included female middle school students in government schools for girls in the education of the city of Makkah Al-Mukarramah. The sample was chosen randomly from a sample of (35) students. The study followed the qui-experimental approach - one group design. The study data were collected using two tools, namely: the cognitive achievement test and the media awareness measurement, the instruments were checked for validity and reliability. The study data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics using SPSS. The results of the study revealed that there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤0.01) between the mean scores of the study group in the pre and post applications in the cognitive achievement test of the media concepts. And in the media awareness measurement in favor of the post application, Also, the results for a significant educational impact on the development of concepts of media and awareness of them are higher scores for the coefficient of impact coefficient approved (0.57, 0.86) respectively. The Black coefficient of the two independent variables were (2.26%; 1.62%) respectively, This indicates the effectiveness of the educational unit based on media education in developing the two dependent variables. Also, the study finding revealed strong statistically correlations significant (0.596) at the level of significance (a≤0.01) between the two dependent variables, The results also revealed the existence of a linear predictive regression relationship, and based on the findings of the study, a set of relevant recommendations and suggestions were represented.
