The study aimed to identify the role of transformational leadership in developing distance learning in light of the Corona pandemic (Covid-19) in basic education schools in the Muscat Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. Study used a descriptive method, also used the questionnaire to collect data and information were applied to a sample of (412) principal and teacher. The results of the study found that the degree of availability of transformational leadership dimensions among basic education school principals in the Muscat Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman was high overall. The results also showed that the role of transformational leadership in developing distance learning in light of the Corona pandemic (Covid- 19) in basic education schools in the Muscat Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman was highly rated overall. The results also revealed that there were statistically significant differences in the responses of the study sample at the level (α≤0.05) attributed to the gender variable and in favor of females.
