التنمية المهنية للمعلمين في سنغافورة وسبل الاستفادة منها في المملكة العربية السعودية
The study aimed to identify the reality of professional development programs for teachers in Singapore, to determine the areas and methods of professional development for teachers in Singapore, in addition to proposing a vision for benefiting from Singapore's experience in developing professional development programs for teachers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study used a descriptive analytical approach and reached several findings, the most important of which are: providing and activating information and communication technology to develop education. To achieve this, three stages must be followed: training teachers to professionally use and employ technology in the service of education, then encouraging students to use it for educational purposes, and finally integrating it into curricula and teaching methods. The Ministry of Education should establish partnerships with colleges of education in Saudi universities to implement professional development programs for teachers lasting from three to six months, and to study the release of teachers while they are enrolled in professional programs. The study provided several recommendations, including the necessity of benefiting from the system of material and moral incentives offered to teachers in Singapore, and the Saudi Ministry of Education planning to activate professional learning communities.
