The study aimed to reveal the training needs of secondary education teachers in the city of Djelfa in the field of constructing referenced diagnostic tests. A sample consisted of (75) professors. A questionnaire consisting of (27) phrases was applied to them, distributed over five dimensions, representing a set of basic skills for building referenced diagnostic tests. Relying on the descriptive exploratory approach, it was concluded: 1) Professors need training in the field of constructing referenced diagnostic tests, at a rate of 58% - The need was between (50.67%-61.33), and the highest percentage of need for the skill of interpreting test results was estimated at (61.33%) and (50.67%) as the lowest percentage for the skill of determining the behavioral range and its content, which indicates the need of the sample members for the training process to build referenced diagnostic tests.
