The study aimed to develop a proposed vision for the development of history teacher preparation programs in the colleges of education in the light of the professional and specialized standards for the teacher in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study came out with a proposal for the development of history teacher preparation programs in the colleges of education in the light of the professional and specialized standards for the teacher in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In the light of the results of the evaluation study, in addition to a set of recommendations and proposals, the most important of which are: the need to develop teacher preparation programs in the colleges of education in the light of general and specialized professional standards.
