The study aimed to identify the degree of availability of professional competencies in their dimensions (planning competencies, evaluation competencies), and the degree of contribution of strategic management with its dimensions (internal and external environmental analysis, strategy preparation, strategy implementation, strategy evaluation) in the development of professional competencies in its dimensions (planning competencies, evaluation competencies), and that among the principals of primary schools in Tabuk, and it also aimed to reveal statistically significant differences between the averages of the responses of the study sample about the role of the General Administration of Education in Tabuk in developing the professional competencies of school principals from the perspective of strategic management due to the following variables (type- number Training programs- years of experience). To achieve this, the researcher used the descriptive approach in its survey style, and the questionnaire as a tool for data collection. The study population consisted of principals of primary schools in Tabuk, who numbered (162) principals and principals. The study sample was (95) from the original community, for the second semester of the academic year 1444 AH. The study found that the level of professional competencies as a whole as well as its dimensions and the level of strategic management with its different dimensions came at a high level, The most prominent recommendations of the study were conducting training courses for school principals to develop and improve their professional competencies, conducting studies that measure the availability of professional competencies for primary school principals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and codifying and setting standards for implementing and evaluating strategies.
