The study aimed to identify the applications of Blockchain in education, based on a review of the literature and research conducted to determine the expected potential for the uses of Blockchain in education, as well as the most important successful applied experiences in employing it, in addition to the systems used for that, and the obstacles to adopting the use of Blockchain. Chen in education. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher followed the study methodology based on systematic criticism of the literature published on blockchain applications in education during the year 2019. The criticism methodology was determined in six stages of review: examination, planning, conducting the study in databases, examining the results of the study, identifying eligible literature, then conducting quantitative or qualitative analysis depending on the nature of the goal and data. The results reached (16) studies conducted on blockchain applications in education, and the systematic criticism of the literature showed a major deficiency in Arab countries investing in blockchain technology in areas of life in general, and in the field of education in particular. It turns out that the United Arab Emirates is the leader in using Blockchain in its educational services. The results also indicated that among the (16) studies that were examined, there were only (3) experimental studies, which represents 18%, which is a very small percentage. This may be due to the fact that the technology is still in its formative and developmental stage and in its early application, and it faces several obstacles that decision-makers need to deal with before adopting, expanding and spreading the technology. The study presented a set of recommendations, the most important of which was the need to pay attention to studying blockchain applications in the field of education at the Arab level.
