The study aimed to reveal the perceptions of male and female government school teachers in the Directorate of Education, South Hebron, towards distance education. The study followed a qualitative approach- the case study method and collected data using an interview tool. The interview was conducted with (9) male and female government school teachers, The results showed that the perceptions of public school teachers towards distance education revolve around: the circumstances of the teacher, learner and parents, the school environment, and distance education as a system that has become a reality, including: the difficult economic situation that the teacher, learner and guardian are suffering from. The study also revealed the challenges facing them. Distance Learning Among them: the general culture of the teacher, learner, and parents, distance education skills, human structure, commitment, follow-up, and privacy. Among the most prominent of them are: the weakness of the Internet. Participants revealed the smart tools used in distance education, which are represented in: printed, audio, visual, and various materials, Such as: (the educational portal, my school website), and I reached conclusions mostly with the teachers towards expanding the scope of distance education, and finally at the end: preparing the teacher, preparing the student, developing basic elements for the school, monitoring and follow-up. And privacy, the most prominent of which is: the weakness of the Internet. The results of the participants revealed the main tools used in distance education, which were represented in: printed, audio, visual, and various materials, such as: (the educational portal, my school website), and actually produced results that could be visualized and clues towards ways to develop education. Distance learning, and more recently: teacher preparation, student preparation, elements of the school model, supervision and follow-up, such as: training the students and learners on the strong uses of distance education. Several studies were approved, including: holding an intensive training course for basic teachers to develop their skills in using distance education. (Published abstract)
