The study aimed to verify the effectiveness of a training program based on Montessori activities to improve attention among educationally -retarded primary school students, depending on the experimental method. The study sample consisted of (10) primary stage students who were educationally-retarded, with ages ranging between (10-12) years. The "Raven" colored progressive matrices test was used for children and adults (5.5-68.4 years old) (prepared - modified and standardized by Prof. Emad Ahmed Hassan Ali). The study also used the academic retardation scale for primary school students (prepared by the researcher), and the attention scale for educationally-retarded primary school students (prepared by the researcher) in addition to the training program based on Montessori activities to improve attention among educationally-retarded primary school students. The results indicated that there were statistically significant differences between the average grades of students in the pre and post measurements of the attention scale among educationally-retarded primary school students in favor of the post measurement. The study also reached the absence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of students in the two post and follow-up measurements of the attention scale among educationally-retarded primary school students.
