The study aimed to identify the reality of the use of Internet of Things (IoT) applications, the obstacles that limit its use their from the point of view of Taif University students, and the differences between the responses of Taif University students in the use of IoT applications and the obstacles to its use due to specialization and academic level. The study sample consisted of (411) female students from Taif University, and the descriptive survey method was used. A questionnaire consisting of (35) items distributed on two domains was built, and it was applied to the study sample after verifying its validity and reliability. The results of the study showed that the use of IoT applications among Taif University female students came to a low degree, and the obstacles that limit the use of IoT applications were moderate. The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the respondents' responses due to specialization, regarding the obstacles to the use of IoT applications. On the other hand, there were statistically significant differences about the reality of using IoT applications due to specialization between scientific and health majors in favor of the scientific major, and between Arts and health majors in favor of Arts. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the respondents' responses due to the academic level, regarding the obstacles to use IoT applications, but there were statistically significant differences about the reality of using IoT applications due to the academic level between the second year and the fifth year in favor of the second year, between the fourth year and the fifth year in favor of the fourth year, and between the sixth year and the year (first, third, and fifth) in favor of the sixth year. Based on the results of the study, a number of recommendations and future research studies were set. (Published abstract)
