This study aimed to identify the degree to which physical education students possess sports skills in light of teaching strategies in the Physical Education Department at Al al-Bayt University. The researcher followed the descriptive survey method. The study population consisted of third and fourth-year physical education students at Al al-Bayt University, totaling 160 students. The study sample consisted of 100 students selected through simple random sampling during the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, representing 62.5% of the total population. To achieve the study's objectives, two questionnaires were distributed: one related to the possession of sports skills and the other to the teaching strategies used in the Physical Education Department. Data were processed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The results showed that: 1) The degree of physical education students' possession of sports skills at Al al-Bayt University was high, with no statistically significant differences in responses according to the gender variable. However, there were statistically significant differences according to the academic achievement variable, favoring students with a GPA in the "D" category. 2) The level of application of strategies at Al al-Bayt University from the perspective of physical education students was high, with no statistically significant differences in responses according to the academic achievement variable. In contrast, there were statistically significant differences according to the gender variable, favoring males. 3) A strong positive correlation between the level of application of teaching strategies and the degree of physical education students' possession of sports skills at Al al-Bayt University. The researcher recommended: 1) Adopting diverse and innovative teaching strategies, including visual guidance and interactive activities, 2) Supporting effective interaction between students and faculty members, as this can contribute to motivating students to actively participate and develop their sports skills.
