أخلاقيات العلم المتضمنة في محتوى كتب العلوم للمرحلة الأساسية في الأردن
This study aimed to reveal on the ethics of science included in science textbooks of the basic stage in Jordan. The study sample consisted of the content of science textbooks for the 7th and 8th grades of the basic stage, To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive analytical approach was followed. The study instrument has been developed, represented by a list of science ethics consisting of five standards, which are: (scientific honesty and objectivity, caution and vigilance, openness and self-respect, appreciation of scientists and social responsibility). These main standards included (37) sub-indicators, whose validity and reliability were confirmed. It showed the results of the study included scientific ethics in the content of science textbooks for the 7th and 8th grades of the basic stage criteria came in varying percentages, with the criterion of scientific honesty and objectivity coming first in percentage. A percentage of (34%), and the criterion of caution and vigilance came in second place with a percentage of (22.4%), while in third place was the criterion of openness, self-esteem with a percentage of (17.6%), while the criterion came in fourth place, scholars estimate with a percentage of (15,3%), and the social responsibility criterion came in fifth and last place with a percentage of (10,7%). In light of its results, the study recommended: 1) working to take into account balance in addressing the standards of science ethics in the content of science textbooks for the basic stage, 2) moving towards including them more widely in the content of books, 3) giving more attention to the social responsibility criterion as it came in the lowest percentage.
