العوامل الخمسة الكبرى للشخصية المنبئة بنوعية الحياة : دراسة ميدانية لدى عينة من طلبة جامعة جيلالي ليابس سيدي بلعباس
This research aims to uncover the Big five personality factors predicting the quality of life among a sample of university students. A descriptive approach was utilized, employing the Arabic version of the Big Five Personality Factors Inventory developed by Abdel Khalek (2020) and the Arabic-translated version of the World Health Organization's abbreviated quality of life scale. The study sample comprised 178 male and female students from the Djilali Liabes University in Sidi Bel Abbès. The findings revealed a positive correlation between the factors of extraversion, agreeableness, openness, conscientiousness, and quality of life, and a negative correlation between the neuroticism factor and quality of life. Additionally, it was found that the personality factors (neuroticism, agreeableness, extraversion, and conscientiousness) collectively explained 46% of the variance in quality of life. Exploratory factor analysis of the correlation matrix between the Big Five personality factors and quality of life identified three factors that accounted for 76.138% of the shared variance. The study recommends further examination and verification of the predictive ability of the Big Five personality factors on the quality of life across different geographical regions and diverse samples.
