This study aims to explore the role of Negev primary schools' principals in empowering teachers and increasing their professional development and its relationship to some variables; as perceived by the teachers themselves. The descriptive analytical approach was used, and the researcher developed a questionnaire to collect data from a sample of 420 male and female teachers from the Negev primary schools. Findings indicated that: 1) The role of the principals of the Negev primary schools reached a high degree with relative weight 84.04%. 2) There are statistically significant differences between the teachers' responses of the level of their empowerment in primary schools; attributed to the gender variable in favor of males. 3) There are no statistically significant differences between the teachers' responses attributed to the variables of educational qualification and years of experience.
