The study aimed to reveal the nature of the attitudes of middle school teachers towards the social sciences curricula (the second generation) in developing the values of tolerance, citizenship and the spirit of responsibility, and to find out if there are statistically significant differences in the attitudes of middle school teachers towards the social sciences curricula in developing some values. Tolerance, citizenship, and the spirit of responsibility) according to the variable of gender, type of training, and seniority in teaching. The sample of the study consisted of 230 male and female teachers in intermediate education, and they were chosen by the intentional method, distributed among88intermediate schools in central Algeria (Tizi Ouzou - Boumerdes - east of the capital - Bouira - Bejaia). We relied on the descriptive analytical approach to study the phenomenon quantitatively and qualitatively, and a questionnaire was built as a tool for collecting field data, which was analyzed and processed using the following statistical methods: (T) test, law of percentages, Parson's coefficient, standard deviation, Mann-Whithin test, and test Kruskal-Ellis. The results of the study revealed the attitudes of intermediate education teachers towards the social sciences curricula (the second generation) in developing the values of tolerance, citizenship, and a positive sense of responsibility.
