إتجاهات الشباب نحو اقتناء بعض المستحدثات التكنولوجية وانعكاساتها على قراراتهم الشرائية
This research aims at identifying the youth’ trends towards the acquisition of certain technological innovations and their impact on their selection and purchasing decisions. This research basic sample comprised 181 youth’ male and female students aged (18-22) at the Faculty of Home Economics - Helwan University hailing from different environments (urban-rural). In addition, the research sample included 30 male and female youth selected intentionally from the lower margin of statistical analyses to identify the ability to select and purchase the technological innovations. The study instruments included: General Data Form, Family Economic and Social Level Measurement, Youth’ Purchasing Technological Innovations Form Ability to Select and Purchase the Technological Innovations Questionnaire and a Guide program to amend the youth’ trends to acquire certain technological innovations and provide them with the ability to select and purchase such innovations The research results concluded the following: 1) There are differences of statistical indication in the youth’ trends towards the acquisition of technological innovations according to the difference of the domicile (urban-rural)in favor of the urban youth, as T value was indicative at 0.001 function level. Whereas, there were no differences of statistical indication in the youth’ trends towards the acquisition of the technological innovations according to the youth’ gender (male-female). There were differences of statistical indication in the youth’ trends towards the acquisition of the technological innovations according to the family social and economic level in favor of the lower level. 2) There are differences of statistical indication in the youth’ ability to make decisions in selecting and purchasing the technological innovations according to the gender difference (male-female) in favor of males , as for the domicile (urban-rural) was in favor of the urban, as T value was indicative at 0.001 function level .Furthermore ,there were differences in the youth’ ability in making decisions in selecting and purchasing the technological innovations according to the difference in the youth’ family social and economic level in favor of the lower social and economic level. 3) There is a positive indicative correlation at 0.001 function level between the youth’ trends towards the acquisition of the technological innovations and the ability to select and purchase the same covering all its different domains (goal setting-problem identification-data compiling-data collection and analysis-best alternatives selection and assuming responsibility-ability to make decisions). 4) The ratio participation of the study variables (age-gender-domicile family size-ranking among brothers and sisters-parents’ educational level-father’s vocational level-mother’s work-family’s monthly income average) differs with both the youth’ trend towards the acquisition of the technological innovations and the youth’ ability to make the decisions in selecting and purchasing the same. 5) There are differences of statistical indication in the youth’ trends towards the acquisition of technological innovations and the youth’ ability to make decisions in selecting and purchasing the same before and after the program application, in favor of post application.
