العلاقة بين هوية الأنا والتعاطف الذاتي لدى طلبة الجامعات النظامية في محافظة الخليل
The study aimed to identify the relationship between the Ego identity and self- compassion among a sample of students at regular universities in Hebron governorate according to the variables of the study, which were represented by (gender, university, and academic level). The study population consisted of (14,672) male and female students of regular universities in the Hebron Governorate (Hebron, Polytechnic). In order to achieve the objectives of the study, a random sample of (346) male and female students was selected, and the objective scale of the ego identity ranks prepared by Adams was applied to them, and the Neff’s self-sympathy scale, codified in his Arab Palestinian image, prepared by (Jondi, Tantawi, 2021). The relational descriptive approach was used, and the data were processed with appropriate statistical methods in order to arrive at the results that showed: The existence of a negative relationship between the dispersion and closure of the ideological and social identity, and the existence of a positive relationship between attachment and the achievement of ideological and social identity. The results showed that the members of the sample were distributed among the classification ranks of the ego identity, where the percentage of those who were classified within the ranks of the pure identity was (5.31%), and those were classified on the transitional ranks at a rate of (2.68%), while the percentage of those who were classified into the ranks of the low-specific was (3.0%). In terms of the general classification of the ego identity ranks of the study sample, the results showed that the highest percentage was in favor of the dispersion of identity at a rate of (7.71%), followed by the closing of the identity at a rate of (8.20%), Then came in the third place, the suspension of identity by (2.7%), and came in the last place with the verification of identity with a rate of (3.0%). The results of the study showed that the self-compassion of the study sample was of a medium degree and with a relative weight of (6.53%). In terms of ranking the domains of self-compassion, the area of alertness and self-awareness was ranked first with a relative weight of (8.62%), followed by the area of compassion. In particular, with a relative weight of (0, 55%), and ranked last in the field of shared human feelings with a relative weight (2, 43%). The results of the study also showed that there are differences in achieving ideological identity and closing in social identity, attributable to the variable of gender. It also showed differences in achieving ideological identity and suspension of social identity, attributable to the university variable. Moreover, it showed differences in the dispersion of the ideological identity and the closure of the social identity, due to the variable of the academic level. The results were discussed in light of the theoretical framework and previous studies, and some recommendations were made. (Author’s abstract)
