The study aimed to identify the role of secondary commercial education schools in Egypt in developing economic awareness among its students in light of contemporary global trends. The study used the descriptive approach and applied a questionnaire to identify students’ opinions about secondary commercial education schools in developing economic awareness. Their number reached (200) male and female students. In light of the methodology used, the study used the Delphi method as one of the methods for future studies through a form to survey the opinions of experts, who numbered (20) experts, which included faculty members in the colleges of education and commerce, in addition to the leaders of technical and commercial education at the Ministry of Education. The study reached a number of results, including lack of interest in forming student social networking groups via electronic networks to discuss current economic issues, scarcity of organizing external visits to banking and financial institutions for students to learn about how they work, lack of interest in managing meetings with specialists about the procedures followed for conducting a student economic project. Lack of interest in organizing economic competitions among students, scarcity of encouraging students to express their opinions regarding economic issues and problems, lack of interest in providing moral support to students who face difficulties in business management, weakness of the curriculum in stimulating students’ entrepreneurship skills. The school curriculum does not develop positive attitudes among students towards money and its preservation. The short comings of the competency-based curriculum in developing students’ online communication skills. The school curriculum does not provide information about the labor market and new professions. Lack of interest in school activities to develop students’ manual labor skills. The absence of Activities that help students know the different methods of saving, the scarcity of interest in issuing an economic magazine in which students participate with specialists, and then the study concluded by developing a proposed future vision suitable for developing economic awareness in commercial secondary schools in Egypt in light of contemporary global trends.
