The current study revolves around preparing a proposed conception for the establishment of educational research centers in light of the requirements of the knowledge society in the universities of southern Upper Egypt. The study also sought to prepare a proposed vision for the establishment of educational research centers in light of the requirements of the knowledge society in southern Upper Egypt universities. The study used the descriptive analytical method, and the study reached several results, the most important of which are the following: The indicators of engaging in the educational knowledge society in Egypt are available in an acceptable way to some extent, but it needs more effort and requirements to reach the level of advanced countries of educational knowledge, and it can be That this be done through the establishment of centers for educational research in southern Upper Egypt universities in light of the requirements of the knowledge society, and that there is a gap between the theoretical educational research and the applied field practices of researchers and the requirements of the knowledge society. As well as the weak competitive level of researchers leads to the weakness of educational knowledge that is produced in the light of the knowledge society. (Published abstract)
