The aim of this research was to identify the Impact of using a Posner model of conceptual change on correcting alternative mathematical concepts and developing mathematical communication skills for the second-grade intermediate female students. To achieve this goal, an experimental method was used. The research sample consisted of (72) students, divided into two groups: an experimental group of (36) students, and a control group of (36) students. Both groups are in the fourth middle school in Khamis Mushait. Students of both groups applied for a test to diagnose alternative mathematical concepts to determine the alternative mathematical concepts available to them. Accordingly, these alternative mathematical concepts were defined. In light of this, research materials and tools were prepared and applied to the research sample before and after applying the research experiment. Exemplified by a testing alternative mathematical concepts and testing mathematical communication skills. The results have proven: There are statistically significant differences between the Scores means of students of the experimental and control groups in the post-application of both the test of alternative mathematical concepts and the test of mathematical communication skills, for the benefit of the experimental group. The significant impact of using the Posner model of conceptual change on correction of alternative mathematical concepts and the development of mathematical communication skills the second grade intermediate female students. In light of this, a number of recommendations and proposals were developed. (Published abstract)
