The study aimed to identify public school leaders’ perspectives toward organizational communication, administrative work pressures, and the relationship between them in Kuwaiti schools. It also aimed to investigate statistical differences in organizational communication and administrative work pressure based on gender. The study adopted the mixed method approach by conducting a questionnaire on a sample consisting of (865) school leaders and conducting personal interviews with (10) of them. The results showed average levels in leaders’ perspectives toward organizational communication dimensions, which ranked decreasing in the following order, collegial communication, school communication climate, communication time, and communication structure in order. Additionally, a high level of administrative work pressures was reported. A negative statistical relationship was found between the level of administrative work pressures and three dimensions of organizational communication (communication time, organizational communication structure, and school organizational communication climate), according to schools’ leaders. No statistical differences were found in sample perspective to all dimensions based on gender. In the personal interviews, positive perspectives regarding school organizational communication were reported related to communication structure and collegial communication. Some leaders reported shortage of communication time because of administrative work pressures. (Published abstract)
