The current research aims to identify the contribution of parental treatment methods in the executive functions for children with down syndrome (with mild intellectual disabilities). Participants have been (100) children with down syndrome with mild intellectual disabilities, aged between (10-12) years, with arithmetic mean of (10.878), standard deviation of (0.910), children average intelligence quotient (IQ) of (63.328), and standard deviation of (3.188). The sample is divided into two groups, the group of psychometric efficiency, which incudes (30) children with their mothers, and the main sample of the research, which includes (70) children with their mothers. The researcher has used the parental treatment methods scale, mothers’ photos (prepared by the researcher), (Night - Day) Stroop Scale to measure response inhibition capacity, and the Porteus Maze test to measure planning capacity. The research has been applied in Intellectual Education Schools in Beni-Suef and Fayoum Governorates. The results of the study indicate positive statistically significant relationship between parental treatment methods and the executive functions at the significance level of (0.01) in all dimensions, which indicates a strong relationship between parental treatment methods and the executive functions for children with down syndrome in early childhood stage.
