The current study aims to reveal the differences in self-esteem of the permanent professors and contractors working in primary education in the state of Al-Messilah, according to two variables ; the status of the contract (permanent/ contracted), and the (Alpha Kronbach) factor was used, to estimate the stability of the scale internal consistency method, and Pearson correlation coefficient (Rp), to estimate the validity of the scale by internal consistency, on a prospective sample (50) professors. The researcher followed the comparative descriptive approach, based on a suitable intentional (available) sample of (310) professors and professors, among whom (69) male and (241) female, in some schools in Al-Messila state, and a self- assessment scale was used by the researcher Abdul Rahman Saleh Al-Azraq. It includes (39) items distributed on (5) dimensions, The two tests (Colmogrove Smirnov) and (Shapiro Welk) were used in order to verify the distribution of the self-assessment scale, whether their distribution is normal or not, and the Mann- Whitney test (U) For two independent samples, because the distribution of the variable samples, the subject of the study was abnormal, which is an alternative test for (T) test, to reveal the differences between the two variable study. The study reached the following results: 1) There are statistically significant differences between the permanent professors and the contracting professors working in primary education in self-esteem in favor of the permanent professors. 2) There are no statistically significant differences between the permanent teachers and the contracting professors working in primary education (male) in self-esteem. 3) There are statistically significant differences between the permanent professors and the contracting professors working in primary education (female), in self-esteem, in favor of the permanent professors.
