The aim of the research is to identify the impact of the interaction between the style of electronic discussions (directed / free), and the size of the participating groups (large / small) in the mobile learning environment on developing the skills of the e-learning management system Moodle and engaging in learning for the student teacher at the College of Education, and to achieve the goal of the research was used the two researchers approach the developmental research method by applying the (Mohamed Khamis, 2015) model of educational design in developing the mobile learning environment using the two electronic discussions patterns. The participating groups were large (60 students) and small (10 students), then each group was divided into two sub-groups according to the two types of electronic discussions (directed - free); the number of groups becomes four experimental groups according to the experimental design of the research; the results of the research revealed that there were statistically significant differences at the level (≤ 0.05) between the average scores of students in the post application of the cognitive achievement test, the performance aspect observation card for the skills of using the Moodle e-learning management system, and the learning engagement scale due to the main effect of the two types of electronic discussions (Directed / Free) in the mobile learning environment in favor of the group of students who studied through the style of guided electronic discussions, and there are statistically significant differences at the level (≤ 0.05) between the mean scores of students in the post application of the cognitive achievement test, the observation card, and the learning engagement scale due to The main effect of the size of the participating groups (large/ small) in the mobile learning environment in favor of the group of students with the size of the small participating groups, while there were no differences in the post application of the cognitive achievement test, the observation card, and the learning engagement scale due to the effect of the interaction between the two types of electronic discussions, and the size of the participating groups.
