This study aims to explore the reality of teaching foreign languages (French and Eng-lish) at the level of the 3rd year of primary school in Algeria. The mixed method, which combines quantitative study and qualitative study, allows a rigorous analysis of the current situation. The specific objectives of this ambitious research are multiple: to study the effectiveness of foreign language teaching in primary school and to identify the challenges and opportunities associated with such teaching. Educational policies must be reviewed to support the teaching of foreign languages and improve its implementation at the primary level in Algeria in order to install appropriate strategies to support and protect the diversity of languages in the teaching process by proposing pedagogical innovations and reforms.
