This study aims to investigate the reflective practices as teachers’ professional development approach from principals and teachers’ perspectives in Ramallah district private schools. To attain this goal, we used the qualitative approach through organizing semi structured interviews with 8 teachers and 4 principals in four private schools for the school year 2020-2021. Van Maneen model was used to understand the teachers’ reflective level as the results of the studies indicated that the teachers’ reflective levels were more oriented towards the technical and practical levels, the results indicated a substantial lack in teachers’ reflective within the higher level which is the critical thinking as it resulted in very small percentage. The study’s results reflect the lack of principals’ knowledge in the reflective practices and its absence from their schools that were clear in the shortcoming to follow the evaluation and feedback policies and not following the group discussions policies. In light of those results, recommendations were received. (Author’s abstract)
