This study aimed to identify the reasons that led to teachers’ reluctance to activate the science lab in the middle school for physics for the ninth and tenth grades in Jordan from the teachers’ point of view. And the field of teaching methods, and the field of science lab, and the field of personality traits. The questionnaire was applied to the study sample consisting of (53) teachers, and the sample was chosen in a stratified random manner. The researcher concluded that all fields of study had a role in the teachers’ reluctance to activate the laboratory in varying proportions. In the reluctance of teachers to activate the science laboratory. One of the most important recommendations of the study was to reconsider the mechanism of the courses given to teachers, and work to address the weakness of the practical skills of teachers.
