The current study aimed to know the level of emotional intelligence and quality of life and the relationship between them. It was consisted of a sample of gifted students at the intermediate and secondary schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to revealing the differences in both emotional intelligence and quality of life according to the variables of gender and educational stage. To achieve this goal, the emotional intelligence scale and the quality-of-life scale were used, and the validity of each of them was found through the arbitrators' sincerity and constructivism, and the confirmation of stability through Cronbach's Alpha coefficient and re-application, and all indicators of honesty and stability were good and high. The study population was (320) individuals. The study sample consisted of 159 individuals, i.e. (49.7%) of the study population, consisting of (78) middle school students and (81) secondary school students, of whom (80) students, (79) a female student. The results indicated a high level of emotional intelligence with an arithmetic mean (2.45), and a high level of quality of life with an arithmetic mean (2.69). The results also showed statistically significant differences between males and females in emotional intelligence and quality of life in favor of males. The results also showed that there are significant differences between males and females in the middle school. Moreover, the results mentioned a statistically significant difference among middle and high school students in emotional intelligence and quality of life in favor of the secondary school. The results of the study also indicated that there is a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and quality of life among talented students at the intermediate and secondary levels in Saudi Arabia with statistically significant correlation coefficients at the level (0.05) and ranged from (0.37) to (0.79). According to the mentioned results, it was recommended to prepare programs to develop the emotional intelligence and quality of life, especially for gifted students and middle school students. It was also suggested the need to pay attention to the study of emotional intelligence and quality of life in all stages of education, from childhood to the upper grades, because of its positive impact on students’ behavior. The importance of including education curricula to inculcate skills of self-awareness, self-control, empathy with others, and cooperation, and conflict resolution, which provide the quality of life for talented students. Then preparing programs that include parents and teachers to raise their emotional efficiency and train them to provide means of quality of life, which will reflect positively on children and students.
