توظيف تكنولوجيا التعليم لتحقيق استمرارية العملية التعليمية في ظل جائحة كورونا
COVID-19 pandemic left over than 1.6 billion learners around the world out of their educational institutions. Governments responded quickly to ensure education continuity during the closure employing instructional technology. So, this study investigates the ability of educational technology to sustain the educational process during COVID-19 pandemic. To achieve the study goal, the analytical qualitative approach was conducted through collecting data related to this subject from previous literature published in scientific journals in the last three years. The results of the study revealed that educational technology was proportionally able to maintain the education between countries of the world due to the different quality of the technical infrastructure among them. Also, the fact that the teachers and students do not have enough previous experience in dealing with educational technology tools limits their effectiveness in the educational process. In addition, educational technology has proven its limitations in practical subjects such as medical and technical specialties. The researcher recommended attending training courses for faculty members and students may help them to deal with e-learning, and the necessity of integrating e-learning with face learning in the future from the primary school levels to be activated as a reinforcing factor for the educational process. The researcher also recommended taking into consideration the students with special needs when designing e-learning. In addition to the necessity of establishing local, regional, and international partnerships with the public and private sectors to support poor and developing countries in the field of educational technology.
