This study aimed to assess the availability of main and sub-values of tolerance and coexistence with others in the content of social studies books in preparatory school in the State of Qatar. This study aimed to answer five questions to define the values of tolerance and coexistence with the other and the availability of these values in its main and sub- values that should be included in the content of social studies curricula textbooks in the preparatory schools in the State of Qatar. In order to answer these questions, this study used the descriptive approach and applied the method of content analysis. The procedures of the study included preparing a list of the main and sub-values of tolerance and coexistence with others that should be available in the study books. This list consisted of five main areas of values (social - intellectual - economic - political) - Religious), which included in its final form 48 sub-values. The Social Studies were analyzed in the three grades in light of the content of its 6 books; the study revealed several conclusions, which can be highlighted as follows: 1) The existence of an inconsistency in the rates of availability of tolerance and coexistence with the other sub-values in all areas, and the absence of including some values in the intellectual, economic, political and religious fields. 2) The social values of tolerance and coexistence with the other ranked first in the total frequency of availability in the content of the books of the stage as a whole in the ranking of the values of the five fields of the list, then followed by intellectual values, then political values, then economic, and finally religious values. It became clear that there are significant differences between the averages of the frequency of the availability of the areas of social values for tolerance and coexistence with others and the rest of the other values in the content in favor of the social values at the expense of the other four main values. 3) The availability of the values of tolerance and coexistence with the other varied in the content of the books for the three grades. The two books of social studies in the eighth grade ranked first in the order of the availability of these main values, followed by the seventh and the ninth textbook. It became clear that there are significant differences between the ratios of the main values of tolerance and coexistence with the other in the books of the three grades in favor of the eighth grade, which indicates a difference in the distribution of the values of tolerance and coexistence with the other among the books of the grades. 4) It was clear upon calculating the differences between the frequency ratios of the main values of tolerance and coexistence according to the (first - second) semester the existence of substantial differences between the rates of occurrences of the main values and the total values in favor of books for the second semester of the Social Studies in the State of Qatar. Based on that, the study identified several recommendations some of which focused on the need to take into account the balance between the main areas of values of tolerance and coexistence with the other in their presence in the content of social studies books in the preparatory stage in the three grades. This could be achieved by including historical, geographical and national topics and subjects that reflect the values of tolerance and coexistence in a balanced style and principally those values that are not mentioned in the content of books in general.
