The study aimed to uncover the research gaps in the subjects and research fields in the degree of scientific studies in the degree of doctoral studies in the educational management of Saudi universities during the period 1430-1440 H, and to reveal the research gap in the methodology of scientific studies for the doctoral degree in educational management, and to uncover the research gap in the tools used in scientific studies at the doctoral stage in educational management. The study used content analysis method and content analysis form as a tool for the study that was applied to all the doctoral letters approved in the specialty of the educational department in Saudi universities, which numbered 441 messages during the period 1430- 1440 H. The study has reached many conclusions, including the following: 1) The study revealed that it covered all areas of educational management and its subjects in general, although there is a disparity in the treatment of areas and topics, according to the following: it was found that the largest proportion of the doctoral-certified doctoral messages in the educational administration were in the field of university administration in the first place, followed by the educational administration, followed by: human resources, educational economics, organizational behaviour, educational leadership, school administration, planning, educational management and educational supervision. 2) The study on the methods of doctoral letters licensed in the educational administration revealed the frequent orientation of researchers to use the descriptive method of different types and arrange the use of different types are respectively: survey, followed by analytical, followed by the method documents, followed by the link, followed by the link, followed by the method of content analysis, then tracking, and as the least used method in educational management case study, in addition to the above followed the descriptive approach comparative approach, followed by the mixed curriculum, followed respectively by the curriculum (experimental / semi-experimental - historical - system analysis - qualitative). 3) The study on the study community of doctoral letters in the educational department revealed that the largest proportion of society in higher education is public education. 4) The study revealed the number of tools in the certified doctoral letters in the educational department showing that one tool was used, while few were used more than one tool, and found that the most commonly used resolution tool, followed by the corresponding tool, followed by the content analysis card, followed by the measurement tool, followed by the use of standardized tests, and the least used tool standard tool.
