This study aimed at identifying the extent of correlation between the content of mathematics curriculum in secondary schools and its counterpart for the first level at the departments of mathematics at the faculties of Education in the Sudanese universities at the state of Khartoum. The researcher followed the descriptive/ analytical approach. The population from which the study sample is drawn consisted of 772 teachers and technical advisors for mathematics at secondary level in Khartoum state, and 387 students from the second level at the departments of mathematics at the faculties of education in the Sudanese Universities in Khartoum state, and 27 university teaching staff at the departments of mathematics, faculties of Education at Sudanese universities in Khartoum state. A sample is randomly selected from the study population. The sample consisted of 111 teachers, 25 technical advisors, 257 students, and 11 university teaching staff. The researcher used the questionnaire as a tool to collect data from the study samples, along with the content analysis of mathematics curriculum at secondary school level and mathematics courses of the first level at the departments of mathematics in the faculties of education at Sudanese universities in Khartoum state. The statistical program SPSS and chi-square test and percentages have been used to analyze and interpret the results. The most important results of this study are: 1) There is a 73% correlation rate between the mathematics topics in the content of mathematics curriculum for secondary school and its counterpart for the first level at the departments of mathematics at the faculties of education, according to the study samples. 2) There are correlation rates 81.92%, 71.51%, 63.20% of the mathematics topics in the content of mathematics curriculum in secondary school and its counterpart for the first level at the departments of mathematics at the faculties of education according to viewpoint of teachers, students, and university teaching-staff, respectively. 3) There are correlation rates 73.70%, 66.12%, 70.07% of the topics of mathematics in secondary school curriculum and its counterpart for the first level at faculties of education for the first, second, and third levels, respectively from the viewpoint of the study samples and analysis of content. 4) There are some topics of the first level courses at the departments of mathematics at faculties of education truncated or have no introduction, and have a weak correlation with the content of mathematics curriculum of secondary school. These topics are: partial fractions, the remainder theorem, the determinants, vectors, mechanics, geometrical transformation, conic sections, and the principles of arithmetic. In the light of the study results, the researcher recommends a set of recommendations, the most important are: 1) Topics about coaxial circles and orthogonal circles have to be added to the circles topic of the mathematics curriculum at the secondary level. 2) The following topics should be re-included in the content of the mathematics curriculum in secondary school: partial fractions, remainder theorem, and the determinants. 3) Pave of the following topics in the content of secondary school mathematics curriculum: vectors, mechanics, geometrical transformation, and the principles of arithmetic.
