The study aimed to identify the Effectiveness of Augmented Reality in developing programming skills for high school students in the Computer and Information Technology course in Al Madinah Al Munawwarah, and the study was based on the semi-experimental approach. Its sample consisted of (34) students of the second grade of high school, and the sample was divided into an experimental one consisting of (24) students who studied with augmented reality technology, and a control one of (14) students who studied in classic way. The study tools consisted of the observation card prepared by the researcher, there was a statistically significant differences at the level of (α≤0.05) in post scale between the mean scores of the experimental group students who studied programming skills using augmented reality, and the control group who studied in the classic way for programming skills, for the benefit of the experimental group. In light of the results, the researcher recommended the necessity of using augmented reality technology to develop programming skills and organizing training courses for female teachers to train them to use augmented reality technology and methods of designing and preparing it in the computer course.
