تصور مقترح لدور تعليم الكبار في دعم التحول نحو الإقتصاد الأخضر على ضوء أهداف التنمية المستدامة
The research aims to reveal the role of adult education and its programs in supporting the transition towards a green economy in the light of the sustainable development goals, and to identify the conceptual framework of the green economy, and the theoretical foundations of sustainable development and its relationship to the green economy. This was carried out through presenting the pioneering international models in the transformation of the green economy. The research relied on the descriptive approach. The research sample was of the deans of faculties and their deputies, heads of departments, and faculty members of the Egyptian universities of Cairo, Helwan, Alexandria and Assiut. The research concluded the importance of integrating adult education activities and programs to achieve sustainable development goals within higher education stage, with the presence of programs and activities of sustainability and the green economy outside the university campus. It is also important to integrate the activities into formal education curricula, which are activities that support the transition towards the green economy in light of achieving the sustainable development goals. This will benefit the Egyptian society through achieving the sustainable development goals, and the decision makers of the Ministry Higher Education. (Published abstract)
