The study aimed to identify the Degree of Practicing Democratic Administrative Behavior and its Relationship to the Effectiveness of Decision Making by School Principals in Al- Mafraq District Directorate of Education. The study sample consisted of (250) male and female school teacher’s at all educational levels in the Mafraq Qasbah Education Directorate. The study used the descriptive correlative survey method. To achieve the objectives of the study, a two parts questionnaire was developed, the first part to measure the degree of practicing democratic administrative behavior, and the second part to measure the effectiveness of decision making, and its validity and reliability were verified. The results showed that the degree of practicing democratic administrative behavior among school principals in the district of Mafraq district came to a high degree, and also showed that there were statistically significant differences in the response of the study sample towards the degree of practicing democratic administrative behavior among school principals in the district of Mafraq district from the teachers' point of view. Due to the effect of sex, the differences came in favor of males, and there were no statistically significant differences in the response of the study sample due to the effect of the number of years of experience, and the presence of statistically significant differences in the response The study sample due to the effect of academic qualifications, and the differences came in favor of graduate studies. The results also showed that the level of effectiveness of decision-making among principals in Mafraq education from the teachers' point of view came to a high degree, and there were statistically significant differences in the responses of the study sample towards the level of effectiveness of decision-making among principals from the teachers' point of view due to the effect of gender. The differences came in favor of males, and there were differences statistically significant for the responses of the study sample due to the effect of the number of years of experience in all fields and the total degree except for defining the problem and developing alternatives. The differences came in favor of less than 10 years, there were no statistically significant differences for sample responses due to the effect of the educational qualification. The results also showed a positive, statistically significant relationship between the degree of practicing democratic administrative behavior and the level of effective decision-making from the teachers' point of view. The study recommended a number of recommendations, most notably working on holding training courses and professional development programs that maintain high levels of democratic behavioral patterns among school principals’ teachers, and working to encourage school principals to delegate teachers in the decision-making process and enable them to practice this leadership skill.
