This study aimed to assess the reality of science teachers’ practice in Mafraq Governorate of alternative assessment strategies and tools variables. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, researcher followed descriptive approach. A questionnaire is the instrument of the study that consisted of (56) items, with (8) dimensions. The study sample consisted of male and female science teachers in the education of the North Eastern Badia in Mafraq Governorate. The sample was chosen by a vailable method, where the sample size was (134) of male and female teachers of science subject. The results of the study concluded that the degree of science teachers’ practice of alternative assessment strategies and tools variables in Mafraq Governorate was moderate. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences due to the gender in all dimensions and total score. The result of the study also showed that there were no statistically significant differences due to the academic qualification in all dimensions and total score, with the exception of the self-review strategy with differences due to high diploma qualification, but there were statistically significant differences due to the effect of years of experiences in all dimensions and total score, with the exception of (the performance-based assessment strategy, performance assessment by written tests, pen and paper assessment strategy, and performance assessment strategy by interviews), and the differences were in favor of years of experiences less than (5) Years.
