This research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a video-based self-modeling (VSM) program in developing emotion regulation among preschoolers in early childhood (5-6 years). The research objectives are: Building a program based on video self-modeling (VSM) and verifying its effectiveness in developing emotion regulation in early childhood, and translating a tool to measure emotion regulation among Childs. The researcher used the Quasi-experimental approach, and the research tools were the emotion regulation Checklist in 4-6 years-old preschoolers prepared by Shields & Cicchetti (1995) which was reviewed by Danişman and others (Danişman, et al., 2016), and a program based on Video self-modeling (VSM) in early childhood Prepared by the researcher. The research sample consisted of (16) children in early childhood stage, their ages ranged from (5-6) years, and they were divided into an experimental group (n=8) and a control group (n=8). The data were analyzed parametrically using the Mann-Whitney test and the Wilcoxon test. The results showed the effectiveness of the research program in developing emotion regulation skills in early childhood. The results were interpreted and suggestions were made. (Published abstract)
