فعالية القصة الاجتماعية في خفض اضطراب الانتباه المصحوب بالنشاط الزائد لدى التلاميذ ذوي صعوبات التعلم
This study aims to explore how effective a social story-based program is in reducing attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in a sample of girls with learning disabilities. The study sample contained (15) girls with learning disabilities extracted from a sample of (48) girls who achieved higher score in attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) Scale and randomly assigned to an experimental group (7 girls) and a control group (7 girls). Homogeneity in age, difficulty type and levels of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder was verified. Using the quasi- experimental approach, this study was conducted in Ha’el city. The Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Scale by Al-Bahiri, (2015) and a social narrative-based instructive program by the researcher were used in this study. The program contained (25) sessions using models of social narratives: pictorial narratives, audio narratives, printed narratives, and PowerPoint software. Results affirmed the effectiveness of the social narratives in reducing attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in pupils with learning disabilities. The study concluded with some recommendations and suggestions for future studies. (Published abstract)
