The present study aims to make a proposal to achieve free kindergarten education in Egypt by seeking alternative funding sources and specific mechanisms. The author adopted the descriptive approach because it is more appropriate to the nature of the study. The study utilized the following tools: 1) Structured interviews with the principals and mentors of some kindergartens in Sohag. 2) Survey the perspectives of kindergarten mentors on alternative funding sources and some mechanisms to achieve free kindergarten education in Egypt. The sample comprised (64) kindergarten mentor in Egypt representing the whole population of (64) mentor. The study concluded that: achieving free kindergarten education in Egypt requires alternative funding sources and specific mechanisms, including the involvement of civil society institutions in funding kindergartens because education is not the responsibility of the state, but the whole society shall be involved. Based on the results, the study made a proposal to achieve free kindergarten education in Egypt. (Published abstract)
