The current study aimed to identify the role of educational media programs in developing personal skills among (330) students in secondary government schools in Jenin as perceived by them, and to investigate the differences in the total score and the dimensions of the participation scale in educational media programs, and the personal skills scale attributable to gender, grade, and academic average. The results showed that the participation of students in educational media programs was high, especially in school journalism, school radio, and celebrations. The results also showed that the most important personal skills gained are: contact and communication, pride in national identity, self-reliance, leadership, and decision-making. The results found appositive correlation between the participation in educational media programs, and the personal skills. The results demonstrated that there were statistically significant differences at the level of the overall score and the dimensions of the school journal, school broadcasts debates and seminars and the celebrations in favor of females, and statistically significant differences in the overall degree and the dimensions of communication, decision-making skill, leadership skill acquisition in favor of females. The results did not indicate the existence of statistically significant differences due to the grade variable and the academic average. (Published abstract)
